A near capacity crowd of 29,718 turned out for the first meeting between the two schools...night game with temperature in the 70s...game will be remembered for malfunctioning scoreboard which went on the fritz in crucial fourth quarter...Falcons scored winning points on 39-yard field goal...Cougars had ball with seconds remaining when Bowling Green intercepted, fell on the ball for final play of game...Falcons backs Dan Saleet and Dave Preston combined for 256 yards rushing.
