Although the Cougars weren't expected to win this one, absorbing their third straight loss was painful...BYU defense made several fine goal-line stands and the Cougars were behind only 7-0 in the fourth quarter...Blanc, suffering from an intestinal problem, was only at half speed...BYU penetrated only as deep as the 26-yard line...the contest drew 50,944 fans for the night game under clear skies.
